In recognition of the significant cultural, social and economic contribution that annual agricultural shows make to local communities, the Western Australian Government has committed to providing financial support to Agricultural Show Societies across Western Australia.

The WA Agricultural Show Grant Program is a non-competitive, allocation-based program, with $600,000 in total funding, and up to $10,000 available for each eligible recipient.

About the Program

The objective of the Grant Program is to provide organisations with financial support to:

  • Showcase WA food and agriculture
  • Meet operational costs (excluding salary or wage-related expenses) associated with hosting annual agricultural shows that showcase local food and agriculture
  • Support volunteer programs
  • Deliver new, innovative, and free activities for patrons
  • Invest in infrastructure upgrades or maintenance of showground facilities essential to the operation of annual agricultural shows

Eligible Grant Recipients

Eligible recipients under the Grant Program include:

  • Agricultural Show Societies or other incorporated entities that:
  • Conduct or support an annual (or biennial) agricultural show
  • Deliver a show with a clear agricultural or primary industry focus
  • Are affiliated with the Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia (RASWA)
  • Showground owners or trustees – where the applicant is not the owner or trustee, a grant may still be considered subject to written confirmation from the landowner permitting suitable arrangements for the Show Society to hold annual agricultural shows on the site.

All organisations approved by RASWA for funding must:

  • Be incorporated under WA legislation (1937 Affiliates Act) or the ACNC
  • Provide evidence of appropriate insurance coverage for their agricultural show
  • Report gate attendance/takings and costs from their most recent show
  • Provide any additional reporting required under the official Program Guidelines

Application Details

The eligible funding application period is from 1 November 2025 to 30 June 2026.
Applications must be submitted via the form on the Affiliates Portal within this timeframe.

Apply through the Affiliates Portal

The Grant Program will operate as a rolling application process, with each submission assessed in the order it is received.

RASWA is proud to administer this program on behalf of the Western Australian Government and is available to provide support throughout the process.

Further details, including eligibility criteria, as well as the application and acquittal forms, are available through the Affiliates Portal.

We encourage all eligible Agricultural Show Societies to apply and continue supporting the important role agricultural shows play in strengthening local communities.
