Why volunteer at the Perth Royal Show?
The Perth Royal Show is powered by hundreds of volunteers who help create an unforgettable experience for visitors each year.
From welcoming guests and supporting competitions to helping with agricultural exhibits and family attractions, volunteers play an important role across the Show. It is a great way to get involved, meet new people and experience one of Western Australia’s largest community events from behind the scenes.

Volunteer roles available
There are volunteer opportunities across the Show for people with all kinds of interests, skills and experience.
You could help at Information Booths, support visitor services, assist in competition areas, or get involved with agricultural displays and family-focused attractions. Popular areas include the Baby Animal Nursery, AgVenture Hill, Yellow Brick Road, Photography, Art, Creative Arts, Cookery, Horses, Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Alpacas, Dogs, Cats and Poultry.
There are also opportunities before and after the Show, including pre-Show setup, event support and post-Show pack down. Most roles do not require previous experience, with training and support provided.

You must be at least 15 years old to volunteer.
If you have the right to work in Australia, you can volunteer. Please ensure you comply with your visa conditions.
Volunteers aged 18+ require a valid WWC Check or approved alternative. We can help you organise this.
Yes it is a requirement and may vary depending on your volunteer role. RASWA will reimburse any new applications.
We have a range of volunteering opportunities and match skills and areas of interest.
We are keen to have volunteers commit to a minimum of three shifts for Show week but welcome people to take on more. You can even assist with pre-Show set up and post-Show pack down.
We have two shifts per day 9.30am - 2.00pm and 1.30pm - 6.00pm.
Specialised roles might require skills or knowledge of particular animals, farming practices or more broadly agriculture however all roles have Duty Statements to assist volunteers in each area.
