The Perth Royal Show is Western Australia’s biggest annual celebration of agriculture, entertainment, food, animals and community, bringing the best of the country to the heart of the city for eight huge days.
If you’ve never been to the Show before, expect a day packed with things to see and do. Get up close to animals, discover WA agriculture, watch live entertainment and competitions, take on the rides, explore showbags, try iconic Show food and stay into the evening for spectacular entertainment.
But what makes the Perth Royal Show truly unique is its connection to WA. It’s a chance to experience the people, produce, animals, skills and traditions that help shape our State, alongside all the fun of a major event.
One ticket gives you a full day and night to explore it your way.
The first secretary was William Locke Brockman (pictured), and initial Board members included Messrs Barrett Lennard, Broun, Bull, Hardy, Moore, Phillips and Tanner. Governor Stirling was the Patron.
The first official annual ‘Fair and Cattle Show’ was held in November 1834 in East Guildford.
