Accessibility features include a Sensory Space, Quiet Hour, Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, Companion Card entry, and accessible facilities on our Show App and map to support people with disability, their families, carers, and support persons.
Visitors with a valid Companion Card can receive free entry for one support person accompanying a person with disability. Simply present the Companion Card at the gate when entering the Claremont Showground.
We are proud members of the global Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network. This reflects our deep commitment to creating an environment where everyone feels welcome, supported, and understood.
The Sunflower empowers individuals with non-visible disabilities, conditions, or chronic illnesses by giving them a discreet way to let others know that they may need a little extra help, patience, space, or time. There’s nothing to explain, just wear your Sunflower, and our team is ready to offer support however you need it. Look for our friendly staff and volunteers wearing their sunflower lanyards.
A Quiet Hour is held on Tuesday 29th September from 10:00am to 11:00am, with reduced noise levels, limited announcements, and lower sound levels from rides and entertainment to create a more sensory-friendly environment.
A dedicated Sensory Space is available for visitors who need a calm, quiet area away from crowds and sensory stimulation. Look for the headphones symbol on the Show map or App to find its location near Gate 10 and next to Farm 2 Food Pavilion
A Changing Places facility is available between Showground Station Gate and Gate 1 (see map for symbol) at Exhibition Station and includes:
