DPIRD Discoverer Trail Details
Ever wondered how we keep our food safe from pests, diseases and other biosecurity threats? Join DPIRD at the Farm 2 Food Pavilion to explore the science behind healthy farms, healthy animals and healthy food.
What’s in store:
- Learn how you can be a biosecurity hero and uncover some of the pests and diseases we need to watch out for to help keep our food supply safe.
- Help us identify the good bugs and bad bugs that play a role in growing the food we eat.
- Discover how you can help protect backyard chickens from biosecurity risks such as H5 avian influenza (bird flu).
- The adventure begins at the Farm 2 Food Pavilion, open 10am to 5pm every day of the show.
