How to Enter Competitions

Getting involved in competitions at the Perth Royal Show is one of the best ways to be part of the action. Whether you're entering for the first time or you’ve done it before, the process is straightforward — as long as you follow the steps and keep an eye on key dates.

From livestock and produce to creative arts and photography, every competition has its own schedule, requirements and entry details. Taking a few minutes to read through everything properly will save you time (and stress) later.

Entries are completed online via our official entry system. Make sure you submit before the closing date, as late entries are not accepted.

1. Find Your Competition

Browse the full list of competitions and choose the one that’s right for you. Each competition page includes important details like eligibility, categories and judging criteria.

2. Read the Schedule Carefully

Every competition has a schedule outlining entry requirements, class details, key dates and conditions of entry. This is your go-to document. Don’t skip it.

3. Create or Log Into Your Account

All entries are submitted through our online system. You’ll need to create an account (or log in if you already have one) before entering.

4. Submit Your Entry

Select your classes, complete your details and submit your entry through the system. Double-check everything before finalising.

5. Pay Your Entry Fee

Some competitions require an entry fee. Payment is completed online at the time of entry.

6. Prepare for the Show

Once you’re entered, it’s time to get ready. Check bump-in times, presentation requirements and any additional instructions specific to your competition.
