Where does our food come from? How does a farm work? And what does it take to grow, raise and produce the things we use every day?
Agricultural education is a huge part of the Perth Royal Show, with hands-on activities, live demonstrations, animals and experiences that bring farming to life for the whole family.
Get closer to your farmyard favourites The Farmyard Nursery is made for animal lovers. Wander through and meet friendly goats and sheep, see baby lambs and discover more about the animals you’d find on farms across WA. There are plenty of opportunities to get closer, too, with animal feeding at selected times, farmyard nursery photography and Critters Up Close, where things get a little less fluffy with snakes, lizards, spiders and more.
Follow the journey from farm to fork There’s a lot that happens before food reaches your plate. Farm 2 Food gives kids and families a hands-on look at where everyday foods come from and the work that goes into producing them. Get involved in activities that connect what’s grown and raised on the farm with the food we know and love — with plenty to learn, make and taste along the way.
Dig into the world of agriculture There’s always something to discover at Agventure Hill. Through interactive activities, demonstrations and agricultural experiences, kids can get hands-on while learning more about farming, food, animals and the people behind them. Come curious — you might leave knowing something completely new about life on the land.
