The Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia is delighted to announce that Amanda Reid has joined its Council.
Bringing more than 25 years of experience across major infrastructure, capital investment programs, and complex regulatory and commercial environments in Western Australia, Amanda brings an important skillset to the Council.
Amanda is the Chair of the Governing Council of North Metropolitan TAFE, a Non-Executive Director of Frontier Energy and a Non-Executive Director of the Mid West Ports Authority, where she also chairs the Audit, Risk and Governance Committee.
Through these roles, she brings commercial oversight and a strong understanding of the complex operating environment facing Western Australia’s regional communities, primary producers and supply chains.
Having worked with the organisation during her tenure as Partner with GRA Partners, Amanda has a strong structural understanding of the Royal Agricultural Society of WA’s strategic goals, stakeholder landscape and community mission. This prior advisory experience enables her to contribute immediately to the development and governance of its long-term assets and programs.
Royal Agricultural Society of WA President Anne Stroud said the appointment contributes to ensuring a focus on strong corporate and financial governance for the Society into the future.
“Amanda adds significant strength to the Council in crucial areas such as governance and risk, and infrastructure. Her expertise will provide an invaluable contribution for decision-making and oversight, particularly when combined with her knowledge of the Society and the wider agricultural sector.”
Amanda said she was delighted to contribute her experience to the Society.
“The Royal Agricultural Society of WA occupies a unique place in Western Australia, connecting agriculture, industry and community while helping the sector respond to future opportunities and challenges. I look forward to bringing my experience to the Council and contributing to the Society’s continued growth and long-term sustainability.”
