Our Story and Mission

Supporting agriculture and connecting communities across Western Australia since 1831.

OUR LEGACY

The Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia has been championing agriculture and community since 1831. As a member-based not-for-profit organisation, we work to promote the importance of Western Australia’s primary industries and the people who power them.

For more than 190 years, our events, competitions and programs have helped showcase the achievements of rural Western Australia while strengthening connections between city and country communities. From agricultural competitions to education initiatives, we celebrate the innovation, skill and dedication that shape our food and farming industries.

Today, we continue this legacy through iconic events such as the Perth Royal Show, industry awards and scholarships, and year-round activity at Claremont Showground — creating opportunities to recognise excellence, support producers and inspire the next generation.

OUR COMMITMENT

Our mission is bringing people together to grow the future of food and agriculture, which reflects our commitment to supporting WA’s agricultural industries.

We do this by celebrating excellence through competitions and awards, supporting education and scholarships, hosting events that connect city and country and creating opportunities for producers and industries to showcase their work.

Together, these efforts help ensure agriculture continues to thrive, now and for generations to come.
