Get Creative with "The Diversity of Animals in Agriculture"
Agriculture is made up of many amazing animals that help farmers produce food, fibre and other important products used every day.
This year’s Perth Royal Show Scarecrow Competition celebrates the animals that help keep Western Australian agriculture thriving. With the theme for this year, "The Diversity of Animals in Agriculture", students are invited to create fun, colourful and imaginative scarecrows inspired by the many animals found across the agricultural industry.
From sheep and cattle to chickens, horses, alpacas, bees and aquaculture species, there are countless ways to bring this year's Animals in Agriculture theme to life. Students can explore where food comes from, learn about the role animals play in farming, and showcase their creativity through a unique scarecrow design.
The competition encourages students to think creatively while developing a greater understanding of agriculture, sustainability and the industries that help feed and support our communities. It also provides valuable opportunities for hands-on learning across The Arts, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS), and Design and Technologies.
