OUR STORY

A Tradition Of Excellence

The Perth Royal Food Awards’ history reflects a long tradition of recognising excellence in Western Australian food and beverage.

Food and beverage competitions have been part of the Royal Agricultural Society of WA’s activities for generations, with many judging categories originally held as part of the Perth Royal Show. Over time, these competitions evolved into a dedicated awards program celebrating the quality, craftsmanship and provenance of Western Australian producers.

Today, the Perth Royal Food Awards span eight categories: wine, beer, distilled spirits, dairy, chocolate, bread and pastry, smallgoods, and branded meats. Together, they reflect the quality, craftsmanship and provenance that continue to shape the industry.

From long-established regional producers to emerging artisan makers, the Perth Royal Food Awards continue to celebrate the people, regions and ingredients that shape Western Australia’s food and beverage landscape.
