Charlie Coates is a Perth-based bartender who has worked across some of Australia’s leading venues in both Perth and Sydney.

He is currently leading the beverage program at Nextdoor, where he continues to push the boundaries of cocktails, with a focus on creativity, technique and incorporating unexpected ingredients.

In 2025, Charlie was named WA Bartender of the Year, recognising his experimental approach to bartending and his contribution to the local bar scene.
