WA's Premier Smallgoods Competition
The Perth Royal Food Awards – Smallgoods competition recognises excellence in smallgoods production and the skill of butchers and smallgoods manufacturers across Australia.
The competition has become one of the most respected smallgoods awards in the country, providing producers with the opportunity to benchmark their products against industry standards and gain recognition for quality and craftsmanship.
Entries span a wide range of traditional and contemporary smallgoods classes, which may include products such as ham on the bone, leg ham, bacon, salami, continental smallgoods and other cured meat products.
Products are assessed by experienced judging panels through a blind judging process. Each class is evaluated against criteria specific to that product type, recognising products that demonstrate outstanding flavour, texture, appearance and overall eating quality.
For producers, a medal from the Perth Royal Food Awards represents a respected mark of quality within the industry, recognising smallgoods that demonstrate exceptional skill and consistency.
