Celebrating Excellent Brews
The Perth Royal Food Awards – Beer Competition recognises excellence in brewing and celebrates the craftsmanship behind outstanding beers.
Established in 2007, the beer competition has become one of Western Australia’s leading beer awards, showcasing the innovation, diversity and quality of modern brewing. Brewers from across Australia and internationally are invited to submit their beers to be assessed by experienced judging panels.
Entries are evaluated through a blind judging process using category-specific criteria to ensure every beer is judged fairly and consistently. Judges assess key attributes including appearance, aroma, flavour, balance, style and technical quality, benchmarking each beer against recognised brewing standards.
The competition has attracted hundreds of entries from dozens of breweries, with panels of expert judges evaluating beers over dedicated judging sessions.
A medal awarded through the Perth Royal Food Awards represents a respected mark of quality, recognising beers that demonstrate outstanding brewing skill and character.
